(XVI century). We are facing a small Mudejar church, originally the first half of the sixteenth century but rebuilt, as usual, at the end of the century following the destruction of the Moorish rebellion of 1568. Answer a simple model of Mudejar church with a single rectangular nave with chancel differentiated by triumphal arch, high on the outside by buttresses, the structure and capacity was adequate for these small rural towns by economy and functionality. The plant responds to the Moorish art of masonry walls reinforced with blocks at the corners, and top with corbelled brick cornice. The nave is covered by a simple weave bead or lime simple, consisting of four wooden panels or flaps together at the corners by a wooden beam or lime, supplemented with braces to reinforce the structure and anchor it securely to the walls, as a functional system that dates back to the Moorish world. Instead weave chancel was rebuilt in a crude way to ruin in the late nineteenth century, possibly by the effects of an earthquake on the tower and the head early in the century. This motivated the change in orientation of the temple, blinding the original cover of the feet to the west, and opening the new input span arch in the old header. Is an anomalous orientation that surprise the visitor, used to access from the east, with the sunlight, and that Jesus Christ is the light that illuminates from the beginning of time until sunset. From the church, Romero Rivas, street lead us to the Edges of Faraite.

Located in the Plaza del Barrio Bajo, although today stored in a warehouse, is formed by a stepped stone pedestal on which a cross with pointed ends is located. Normally this shrine crosses were placed at the entrance as a sign of populations entrusted to God before starting the journey. Again after visiting this Humilladero Cross or the Alpujarras we retrace our steps to continue the beaten path.
